Your donation strengthens Sudbury Women’s Centre’s ability to support our community. SWC’s life-changing programs and services include Information, Referral, and Support Services; Crisis Support and Advocacy Services; Safety Planning; Legal Clinics; Educational Workshops; Public Education and Community Outreach Programs. Many of our services are geared towards connecting our clients with supports best suited for their success, and this is possible through strong relationships with our partners. The Sudbury Women’s Centre collaborates with a number of agencies, and seeks to strengthen partnerships for the benefit of shared clients in our community.
SWC Executive Director Giulia Carpenter explains: “The ability to adapt in these trying times is so important, especially for essential services like the Sudbury Women’s Centre. Our clients continue to seek much needed services and support, and we remain here for them. This has not – and will not – change.”
During the forty days leading up to International Women’s Day, January 27-March 8, SWC will be promoting campaign sponsors through social media and promoting a donation drive to reach a goal of $40,000 to help support the Centre’s growth. SWC continues to help clients as the need in our community continues to rise.
We are a part of Sudbury women’s lives, supporting them to thrive! SWC is campaigning to grow our capital and operational funds, and sustainable support for the future. We have been considering a “hub” model for the benefit of clients shared between our community agencies. We also recognize the need to continue to deliver highly accessed programs and services to women in our community. We want to offer a safe place to support women in their journey in getting from where they are now to where they want to be. SWC has seen unprecedented growth in the last few years, indicating an increased need among Sudbury women.
The Sudbury Women’s Centre promotes and strengthens the status and wellbeing of women experiencing difficult life circumstances. We continue to perform 100-150 client interactions on a weekly basis, during this pandemic. The Sudbury Women’s Centre is a part of Sudbury Women’s lives, supporting them to thrive. We support women to reclaim their self-worth and thrive, through access to: Basic Needs; Resources; Services and Education. A community approach, where every individual matters, is how the success of our clients is valued.
Sudbury Women’s Centre would like to extend many thanks to all community supporters, past, present, and future, for their part in helping women in our community thrive. To plan to work together is what our community needs, and we thank you for your contribution and involvement in supporting those who need it most.
Please grow with us!
